Steel Seal can be used to repair blown head gaskets, warped heads and cracked engine blocks and heads. It must be poured into the radiator and when the engine is started and reached operating temperature it will be distributed through the engine where it is drawn into the damaged area and seals the crack with a thermo-chemical bonding process.
With this process it can permanently seal cracks that will withstand high temperatures and high pressure. The advantage of Steel Seal is that it can be used in any type of closed, water cooled engine in both gasoline and diesel engines, that is compatible with all types of antifreeze.
Another advantage of Steel Seal is that it doesn’t rely on fillers. Products that rely on fillers to repair cracks, have the disadvantage that during ignition and shut off the pressure rises and falls resulting in that the particles lodged in the cracks can loosen and fall out. These products only offer a temporary solution.
Steel Seal however, is a unique product with a unique blend of several chemicals that contains no fibrous materials or particles that could clog engine coolant passages. Steel Seal only relies on chemistry for its strength and does not rely on floating particles.
Steal Seal will fix the following head gasket symptoms:
- A leak between coolant and cylinder resulting in a sweet smelling white exhaust smoke along with water droplets from the exhaust pipe when cooling water gets into the cylinder.
- Coolant can reach the oil system, causing the oil to become thick
- Oil can reach the coolant: If you notice a frothy formation on the dipstick, then the head gasket could be blown up
- Chronic Engine Overheating: a consistently high temperature of the car engine will lead eventually to a blown head gasket, always keep an eye on the engine temperature gauge on the dashboard.
